Santa Fe Airport ARFF Building

This $2.3-million project was designed on an accelerated timeframe to capture AIP funding. Funding was secured in 2008 and construction was completed in the Fall of 2009. The primary objective of an aircraft rescue and firefighting (RFF) service is to save lives by minimizing the effects of an aircraft accident or incident. Optimizing the location of the airport fire station and station design enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of service personnel. Station site selection emphasized operational RFF vehicle factors to lower emergency response times.
