EAWSD drilled Well 2B to replace Well 2A, which had lost production and had sanding problems. However, on further investigation, 2A was found to be suitable to continue producing at a lower rate. The District retained Molzen Corbin to design modifications to the existing well house and piping to accommodate production from both wells simultaneously. The site and the well house were small, so we used a 3-dimensional CAD software to model various iterations of the piping network to find the optimal fit that would still allow for all required appurtenances and for adequate access for maintenance.
