Two El Paso Electric feeders serve the Las Cruces Jacob WWTF. The service entered the WWTF underground at 25 kV, and both feeders share below-grade manholes. The WWTF began to experience failures with the cable elbows in the manholes and accessing the confined space was unsafe for operational staff. Molzen Corbin worked with the City to design a replacement feed for one of the feeder loops to separate the source. The new 25 kV, concrete encased, duct bank had to maneuver a network of underground piping infrastructure through an operational treatment facility. The new cables terminate in above grade cabinets and include test ports and fault indication.
