The historic Plaza in Mesilla is the focal point of the downtown area and a celebration space for the entire community. Over many years, the kiosko at the center of the Plaza had deteriorated almost to the point of collapse. The Molzen Corbin team designed improvements that re-used as much of the original material as possible, including the latilla ceiling. Our electrical engineers designed lighting improvements that retrofitted the historic street lamps around the Plaza with new energy-efficient LED lights, and added electrical outlets for food trucks and other vendors to use during community events. Our civil engineers designed handicap parking improvements, adding ramps to curbs, thus increasing event access for all members of the community.
