This 8,800-square-foot renovation and addition houses the Town of Mesilla’s volunteer fire department and law enforcement department. Located in the Old Mesilla historic district, Molzen Corbin designed a 1,600-square-foot addition to the original 7,200-square-foot building. The renovated facility included three vehicle bays (extended from 40 to 54 feet), a new decontamination unit, a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and medical supply storage area, new dorms, dayroom/kitchen, administrative offices, fitness room, several ADA-accessible bathrooms, and various law enforcement operations rooms. The facility has new sewer, water, gas, and electric services, and IT, access control, and fire alarm systems.
