Molzen Corbin authored specifications for the purchase of a new Index B Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Vehicle for SFMA, which was instrumental in helping the Airport to obtain a Part 139 Class I operating certificate. Having procured a new ARFF vehicle, the Airport needed a new ARFF facility to comply with Part 139 requirements. This project was designed on an accelerated timeframe to capture AIP funding. Funding was secured in 2008 and construction completed in Fall 2009. The resulting facility harmonizes with Santa Fe’s local architecture and includes a three-bay fire station, offices, dorm facilities, kitchen, and workout room.
