In early 2011, FAA notified SAF that funds were available for Taxiway A and C reconstruction. While Taxiway A had been planned for reconstruction and relocation for standards reasons, Taxiway C was a surprise. Nevertheless, both projects were designed in only three months. A bid schedule was devised that included four individual bid lots since funding was uncertain. Four lots enabled bids to be opened and those that best fit available funding awarded. Fortunately, all four lots were awarded and a grant was executed. This project is now complete.
