Although the City of Las Vegas primarily uses surface water for its water supply, ground water from the Taylor Well Field is an important component in its overall water supply program. Since 1964, Molzen Corbin engineers have worked with the City to plan, develop, and improve water supply, including numerous improvement projects at the Taylor Well Field. Molzen Corbin was tasked with developing an existing well in the Taylor Well Field (Well No. 4) to supplement the City’s surface water supply. The existing well casing at Taylor Well No. 4 was equipped with a 310 GPM well pump to pump ground water to a 25,000-gallon surface tank at the Taylor Well No. 4 site.
